Phil & Joe's LEJOG 2011

Welcome to what will hopefully unfold into a succinct story of our attempt at an End-to-End cycle ride in June 2011. We are Phil Keeble and Joe McDowall, two retired neighbours from Inverurie, and we intend to start pedalling from Lands End on Tuesday 14th June. The record stands at 44 hours to reach John O'Groats but, recognising that a reasonably fit bloke on a bike should manage it in 9 days, we're planning on 15. Keep watching and see how the story develops. Wish us luck!

So, I'm not the only one taking a break!

Just when he thought he was out of sight and out of mind, my venerable riding buddy is snapped by the paparazzi. Missing, but presumed having a good time (in Wales). At least he appears to be well taken care of. Come back Joe, the weather here is fabulous!

Let's See If We Can Post From The iPhone

Well, no cycle training for Phil over the past 5 days as I've been away on a jaunt. The picture should give a clue where (although it was only en route to Romsey). Time, therefore, whilst waiting for the sleeper home, to test-post from the iPhone. If this doesn't work then the whole blogging thing is doomed because I'll not be dragging the laptop for 1000 miles!
